My World in 2030

 |  Exploring 'My World in 2030': Erasmus+ Programme Engages European Students In an initiative aimed at fostering cross-cultural understanding and envisioning the future, students from various European upper secondary schools recently participated in an Erasmus+ learning programme. The project, centered on the theme 'My Life in 2030,' gathered 27 students aged 16 to 17 from Finland, Italy, and Austria.

Aims and Activities

The primary goal of this educational endeavor was to stimulate discussions around shaping the future and empowering students to voice their aspirations. Divided into diverse groups, participants engaged in activities ranging from formulating claims addressed to politicians regarding the future of the planet to hands-on workshops like silk screen printing and a workshop on non-violent communication.

Diverse Learning Experiences

From cultural expeditions to historic sites such as the Hallstatt salt mines and modern excursions exploring the future of transport, the itinerary was designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Visits to cultural centers and Christmas markets also aimed to broaden perspectives on urban and rural life while introducing students to contemporary advancements in technology and artificial intelligence.

Inclusivity and Integration

Highlighting the programme's inclusivity, two students with special needs from the Italian partner school were seamlessly integrated into the activities, ensuring a rich and diverse learning environment for all involved.

Final Touch: Filling the Time Capsule

The culmination of the program involved participants writing their wishes and ideas for the future, encapsulating them in a time capsule that will be stored and sent to partner schools, to be unveiled in 2030.

Accompanying Team

The learning activities were guided by a team of dedicated teachers from each participating school, ensuring the smooth execution of the programme and facilitating meaningful interactions among the students.

This collaborative effort between educational institutions stands as a testament to the power of international exchange programmes in shaping the minds of future leaders and fostering a sense of global responsibility among the youth.
